Learning the piano is a beautiful, stimulating, and challenging endeavor that can bring many benefits to one's life.
As a teacher, I cater to the individual needs of every student who comes my way. Whether you're approaching the piano for the first time, returning to music after a long break, or would like an extra push to achieve your goals, I am happy to help you on your musical journey!
My students include young beginners (3yrs+), adult amateurs, and conservatory-level performers. Having studied with so many inspiring educators at the New England Conservatory of Music (Boston, MA) and the Guildhall School of Music & Drama (London, UK), my mission is to inspire and motivate others through music education. I have led performance classes for undergraduate and graduate pianists at music conservatories and was a visiting masterclass clinician at the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama. I have also helped students achieve ABRSM (Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music) certifications in both piano performance and music theory (Grades 1-8). The ABRSM are international music exams held around the world and can be very effective for student progress, motivation, as well as private school/university applications.
As a passionate collaborative and chamber musician, I coach piano and strings ensembles as well as instrumental collaborative pianists. I also prepare students for chamber music performances, courses, and festivals. Chamber music is a crucial way for pianists to develop as musicians and form meaningful connections with others. Plus, it is just so much fun!

In my piano lessons, we will focus on:
For advanced players, I teach practice-based techniques such as "harmonic reduction in performance" and "deep listening," which helps with "rich" sound, phrasing, and memory. This is beneficial for both solo and collaborative playing!
Other subjects that I teach include:
Overall, I love to cultivate joy, interest, and growth in my students!
I am available for in-person and remote teaching. For further inquiries, including a FREE trial lesson, please use the contact form below.
